lessons learned in life

In my opinion the below summary is good to read, it could be a guidance to be a good and wise person.
I think it would not hurt to share this with you and I am sure you will have the same thought as mine.
The original text is actually much longer , but to prevent of not get bored  I put only part of the important points.

Happy reading my friends!!!

There really is always something good in every day.
There’s always something that can make you smile & feel blessed.
Look for it.
There is always someone worse off than you and with less than you have.

Pay it forward is an incredible concept – a random act of kindness performed
to make one person’s life just that little bit brighter, even for a moment… so simple.
Practice it.

Fundamentally, we all know what’s right and what’s wrong.

Wrong is wrong even if everyone’s doing it.  Right is right even if no one’s doing it.
Choose what’s right, every time.

People aren’t difficult, they’re just different.
Embrace it.

I’d hate to think of a world where we were all the same…

Be careful with offence.  You choose whether or not you’re going to be offended by something.
Choose wisely.
Certainly don’t take on the offence of another person.

We each need to fight our own battles.

Never assume – it makes an ASS of U & ME.  If you don’t know the facts or
didn’t hear something first-hand, find out (or drop it!).

Don’t tell someone ‘you understand’ if you really don’t.  If you haven’t been there,
experienced what they’re going through, then you can’t ‘understand’.  Try to empathise
with them and support them, but in an effort to try to find the right thing to say
and under the guise of trying to make them feel better, don’t inadvertently turn
the conversation around onto yourself and start to tell them a story of when you
experienced something remotely similar… just be there for them.

Life is all about relationships.  Choose wisely.  Material things are temporary,
as are many friendships, but you always need people around you.
Some will come into your life for a lifetime, others just for a season.
But everyone comes into your life for a reason.  Relationships require work, effort,
commitment and trust from both sides.  No one said being in a relationship was meant to be easy.
When you have to start compromising yourself or your morals for the people around
you, it’s probably time to change the people around you.  Surround yourself
with people who believe in you and are barracking for you!

When caught up in a disagreement, how do you really know you’re right?
Just because you don’t agree with someone else doesn’t automatically make you right and
them wrong.  They could be right & you could be wrong.  Deal with it.
Decide whether or not it’s really worth arguing over.  Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Unforgiveness will eat you alive.  Forgive & move on.  It’s not your job to seek vengeance.

Be grateful for everything you have, don’t focus on what you don’t have.

Life can be snatched away from us at any second.
Make the most of it while you’ve got it.  Life is to be lived to the fullest.
Truly experience & cherish it.

Never regret anything that has happened in your life.  It cannot be changed, undone or forgotten.
So take it as an experience or lesson learned and move on.

Your past has defined who you are today.
Don’t regret it or try to hide it, or try to hide from it.  Just learn from it.
You may not be proud of it but that doesn’t mean you can’t become everything
you’ve always dreamed of.  You are responsible for who you become.
Besides, who knows how many others you can help because of what you’ve been through?
Allow your past only one role in your life: to strengthen you.
Always get better, never bitter.
Bitterness, like unforgiveness, will eat away at you and make you rotten to the core.

***

Respect
for yourself & others always.

Responsibility
for all your actions, never lay blame on another.

Reliability
if you say you’re going to do something or be somewhere, then make sure you do/are.
Be trustworthy, be someone who can be counted on.
